Jiří is a head of orthopedic pediatric departement of Hospital Bulovka Prague and Professor of Orthopaedics on 1st Medical faculty of Charles University in Prague. Concerning the activities related to the football, he participated on the studies of incidence of injuries in football in Czech Republic at 1997 and at medical conferences of FIFA with lectures (Prague 1997, New Zealand 2001, Malaysia 2003, Egypt 2005, FUTURO III 2007 in Prague-local organiser, Sun City 2010). He is an active FIFA-doping control officer since 2002 and FIFA Medical officer in world-cups since 2009. He translated and created the 1st edition of FIFA Manual of Football Medicine and FIFA 11+ to Czech language and was also the Co-author of the 2nd edition of the Manual of Football Medicine (Injuries of Youth players). Jiří participated in the studies of incidence of injuries in youth football in Czech Republic and Switzerland at 2012-2014 and in multicenter study Prevention of injuries in youth football in 2014-2015 and currently he organises the FIFA – M.C.O.E multicenter study Juvenile Osteochondrosis dissecans of the knee in football.
